The Nashville section of ACS is pleased to continue funding Student Travel Grants for Fall 2025! These grants are intended to assist students with costs associated with attending conferences. In most cases, a typical travel grant will be $250 but may be as high as $1000, especially for students lacking travel funds from their program. All students should submit a budget with expected funding with their application to allow the selection committee to determine eligibility.

Students are eligible if they meet the criteria below.  Full details with priority application deadlines are listed here:  Application rules and deadlines

1. Must be a student of a program within the Nashville Local Section. Students may include associate, bachelors, or graduate-level study.
2. Must have an up-to-date ACS membership and provide membership number prior to disbursement of funds.
3. For in-person meetings: Participation at the meeting may include presenting a poster, oral presentation, or other official activities. Priority will be given to students giving official presentations.
4. For virtual meetings:  Participation at the meeting may include presenting a poster, oral presentation, or other virtual activities. Priority will be given to students giving official presentations, however virtual meetings are a unique circumstance and the Nashville Section may support attendance/registration fees if funding allows.
5. Completion of the online application. This has been updated from the previous application, however submitted applications on the previous form will be honored.

We hope this will enable more of our section’s students to attend conferences and provide strong professional development opportunities.
