Free Online Workshop- “Reducing the Family’s Carbon Footprint: The Family Sustainability Action Plan” June 22, 2023

The joint Mayor Cooper Sustainability Advisory Committee – Fisk University Environmental Program invites you to attend the free, online virtual communtiy workshop: “Reducing the Family’s Carbon Footprint: The Family Sustainability Action Plan” on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm (Central) on Zoom.

To make Metro Nashville-Davidson County a more healthy, sustainable, and resilient city we want to help each family:

•             Reduce their carbon footprint

•             Improve air quality and family health

•             Reduce Waste

•             Save money by understanding how to minimize home energy consumption

•             Contribute toward reducing the frequency of weather-related emergencies

Our Carbon footprint is the sum of all the greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, etc.) emissions from all our family’s activities. These gases contribute to climate change and global warming.

The “Family Sustainability Action Plan” is a useful tool that your family can use to calculate your carbon footprint and collaboratively develop a plan to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions.
